SMART provides highly motivated, financially-disadvantaged students in San Francisco with access to educational opportunities, personal experiences and social support services in order to foster academic excellence and community engagement.

Summerbridge San Francisco
A full-time summer academic enrichment session and a school-year academic program. Applications available beginning in December of each year.

826 Valencia
We offer a range of programs, all free of charge, for students, classrooms, and schools in the Bay Area. Our project-based approach allows students ownership over the writing process, and strengthens their ability to express themselves clearly and in their own voice.

Boys & Girls Club
Every day, our nine Clubhouses open their doors to youth who need us the most, providing skilled & caring staff, fun & effective programs and first-class facilities in an environment that promotes respect, responsibility and fun.

7 Tepees
Working with 6th Grade students and up, San Francisco youth learn and practice the academic and social competencies necessary to be successful in the 21st century. A cornerstone of our work is connection to the natural environment.

ROCK - Real Options for City Kids
ROCK's programs are designed to serve girls and boys, ages 6-17, who live in or attend school in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley through a combination of in-school and afterschool learning enrichment, sports and fitness, leadership training and outdoor adventure opportunities.

A Better Chance
The College Preparatory Schools Program (CPSP) is an academic program that identifies, recruits, places, and supports students of color, in outstanding college preparatory middle and high schools nationally. Click here to see if the school you’re attending participates.

The Department of Make Believe
Chapter 510 & the Dept. of Make Believe is Oakland's only youth writing center fronted by the world's only magical bureaucracy. We provide free in-school tutoring, creative writing workshops, and publishing opportunities for K-12 students in Oakland, and are currently a proud part of the 826 Chapter Development Process.
