Community Centers and Parks and Recreations are a wonderful resource for summer activities, and many are low cost or offer financial assistance. 

Aim High
Free programs offered to middle school students in San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto and Marin City/San Rafael. Applications for summer are due before April of each year.

Girl Ventures
Summer and School year programs for Bay Area girls entering 6th – 12th grade explore self, community, culture, and the environment through outdoor adventure, creative arts, and group experiences.

Any girl who is between 5 and 17 years old can become a Girl Scout by accepting the Girl Scout Promise and Law and paying the annual membership dues. However, no girl will be denied membership in Girl Scouts for financial reasons.
