With the help of 38 supporters, Steve Eggert was able to forever alter the lives of more than 30 potential BASIC Fund families with the gift of a K-8 scholarship.
Competing in the 2019 Capital Cup, Eggert helped to raise more than $270,000 in funds towards our scholarship program - topping the charts and helping to propel the event towards a record-breaking $1,970,000 raised in total to support nonprofits around California.
Asked why he chose The BASIC Fund as his organization of choice, Eggert said, “Education is the key achieving your dreams. The BASIC Fund makes it possible for children from all zip codes to have access to a quality, safe school where their families are welcomed. It's because of this that I chose to champion TheBASIC Fund in the 2019 Capital Cup.”
The Capital Cup is a Sacramento-based golf tournament supporting California nonprofits, ran in the tradition of the historic Ryder Cup of Scotland. Read more about
